Polychrome Sculpture

Valentine has a particular interest in the conservation and restoration of polychrome sculpture.

This sculpture had a heavy layer of overpaint and dirt which was removed mechanically under a microscope.  The sculpture was then retouched where old losses were revealed during the cleaning process.
